Moving to Hilversum

In early 2024, Listening Matters will move from Anna Paulownastraat in The Hague to their new building at Borneolaan 25 in Hilversum. This address will sound familiar to many. For decades, it was the place to be for high-end audio, as Rhapsody was located there. Owner Harry van Dalen has moved to a new beautiful location in Overlangel near Ravenstein in the Betuwe, and we have already started renovating it to our own wishes. In 2024, Listening Matters will start there and leave the building in The Hague. After Harry van Dalen and his team left, the building was stripped to modernize and adapt it to current environmental requirements. The characteristic exterior of the building will remain the same, and the spacious on-site parking will be maintained. Inside, some walls have been removed and the layout has become more convenient. Ceilings and ceiling ornaments are being restored, and new electrical wiring has been laid with audio applications in mind. Double windows have been installed for more comfort, silence, and lower energy costs, and the exterior walls have been insulated.
On the ground floor, two spacious listening rooms will be set up with our main products and brands. On the first floor, a space will be prepared with a video wall and home cinema setup, and a second room will house KEF in-wall speakers. A large part of the current stock will move to Hilversum, but keep an eye on our website because there will definitely be bargains as not everything will be taken along.

The same applies to the familiar faces in Anna Paulownastraat, Marc Bosman is moving to Hilversum, but right-hand man Eric Drabbe will not be moving. He will continue to assist our customers in The Hague and surrounding areas with various tasks. We will not abandon you, just shift our position on the map of the Netherlands. More centrally located, a larger building, more possibilities, and a wider range of products. This way, Borneolaan 25 in Hilversum will remain the center for better and high-end audio. Until then, we still welcome you at our familiar location in The Hague. The Anna Paulownastraat will definitely close by the end of February 2024, and we will inform you of the moving date as soon as it is confirmed. For now, we are working hard in both buildings to ensure a smooth transition because despite the busy schedule, you can always expect our full attention as a customer.

Linn Sondek LP12 50^th Anniversary

The Linn Sondek LP12 turntable has been around for 50 years. Over the past 50 years, many versions have been released, and many upgrades have become available, but the LP12 has remained recognizable. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Linn and the Sondek LP12, a special limited edition of the LP12 has been released, the 50th Anniversary. Limited to only 250 units worldwide. Each of these LP12 players is hand-assembled, and the name of the maker, along with the unique serial number, is engraved on a plaque on the player.

Of course, as an important Linn dealer, Listening Matters has ordered its own Sondek LP12 50th Anniversary. The collaboration between Linn and design agency LoveForm is evident in small details such as the power button and the arm lift control. The Bedrok plinth is also executed in a new, solid, and solid material, formed from beech wood compressed under high pressure. Linn is releasing its best turntable ever with the Sondek LP12-50.
