CARBON-BASED 5-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)100%
shielding is simple. Preventing captured RF interference from modulating the equipment's ground potential requires AQ's Noise-Dissipation System. Metal and carbon-enriched plastics prevent much of the captured RFI from reaching the equipment's grounding.
100% SHIELDING (FOIL + TINNED SPIRAL)COLD-WELDED DIRECT SILVER-PLATED PURE "PURPLE-COPPER" PLUGS
This plug design allows for a solder-free connection, a common source of distortion. Because the plugs are not machined but pressed, a low-distortion metal can be chosen without having to consider machinability. Purple-copper provides a cleaner, clearer sound than the nickel-plated or OFHC metals typically used in the plugs of competing manufacturers.
FOAMED-POLYETHYLENE INSULATION
Any solid material next to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and printed circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Because air absorbs virtually no energy and polyethylene has low loss and a good distortion profile, Foamed-PE with its high air content causes much less of the fuzzy effect that occurs with other materials.
SOLID 5% SILVER-PLATED CONDUCTORS
Solid conductors eliminate distortion through strict interaction and reduce jitter. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for applications with very high frequencies, such as HDMI audio. These high-frequency signals travel almost exclusively over the surface of the conductor. Because the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but with a price much closer to that of a solid copper cable. This is a significantly cost-effective way to produce very high-quality HDMI cables.
