DOUBLE BALANCED ASYMMETRICAL GEOMETRY
Specially designed for single-ended applications, it provides a relatively lower ground impedance and a richer and more dynamic experience. While most single-ended cable designs use the same conductor for both ground and shielding, the Double-Balanced design separates them for cleaner and quieter performance.
METAL-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)
100% shielding is simple. Preventing captured RF interference from modulating the equipment's ground potential requires AQ’s Noise-Dissipation System. Noise-Dissipation System prevents a large portion of the captured RFI from reaching the equipment's grounding.
COLD-WELDED GOLD-PLATED RCA PLUGS
This plug design allows for a solder-free connection, a common source of distortion. Because the plugs are not machined but instead pressed, a low-distortion metal can be chosen without having to consider machinability.
SOLID LONG-GRAIN COPPER CONDUCTORS
Solid conductors eliminate distortion from strand interaction and reduce jitter. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, such as HDMI audio. These high-frequency signals travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Because the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance comes very close to that of a solid silver cable, but at a price much closer to a solid copper cable. This is a significantly cost-effective way to produce very high-quality HDMI cables.
FOAMED-POLYETHYLENE INSULATION
Any solid material next to a conductor actually becomes part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and printed circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Because air absorbs virtually no energy and polyethylene has low loss and a good distortion profile, Foamed-PE with its high air content causes much less of the blurring effect that occurs with other materials.
