48G
AudioQuest "48" HDMI cables can transmit up to 8K/10K Ultra-HD video signals. The 48 Gbps bandwidth is made possible by 4 balanced audio/video pairs, each capable of transmitting 12 Gbps. The highly precise manufacturing tolerances required to produce HDMI cables capable of transmitting a bandwidth of up to 48 Gbps mean that many of AudioQuest's proven ingredients and techniques are more important than ever.
8K/10K
AudioQuest 48Gbps HDMI cables have the bandwidth required for video with resolutions up to 10K and resolutions/refresh rates up to 8K/60 and 4K/120. All AudioQuest HDMI cables are fully backward compatible with existing 4K displays.
10% silver-plated copper conductors and drains (HDMI)
AudioQuest HDMI cables apply increasingly thicker layers of silver plating to AudioQuest's Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to improve noise dissipation. Placing the superior metal on the outside of the conductors provides the greatest overall performance improvement and is an extraordinarily cost-effective way to maximize the quality of a digital cable. ThunderBird 48 uses 10% Silver-Plated copper for its conductors and drains.
Level 3 Noise Dissipation: Carbon + Metal + Direction
Traditional "100% shielding" is not sufficient to protect against the increasingly common negative effects of Wi-Fi, GSM, Bluetooth, and satellite radiation. In AudioQuest HDMI cables, all 19 conductors are direction-controlled to minimize RF noise that impairs performance by "directing" or dissipating it away from the most vulnerable circuits. Level 3 Noise Dissipation adds a layer of highly absorbent carbon between the layers of metal that wrap the 4 FRL + eARC pairs to further improve noise dissipation. Additional noise dissipation techniques (Level 4 and higher) are applied if the budget allows for further noise reduction.
eARC: 10% Silver + Level 5 Noise Dissipation
Because sound matters, the eARC conductors in AudioQuest's latest HDMI cables receive the same amount of love, dedication, and noise dissipation with the same superior, direction-controlled metals as the main AV data pairs. HDMI's Audio Return Channel (ARC) sends audio from a TV to a soundbar or AV receiver for added simplicity and flexibility in system setup. Previous ARC capabilities of hardware could only deliver compressed 5.1-channel surround sound. HDMI 2.1 hardware supports Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which dramatically increases bandwidth to pass through uncompressed and lossless high-resolution multichannel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS: X.
Lifetime Warranty under conditions
AudioQuest HDMI cables are precision-engineered to ensure a high level of reliability and are covered by a non-transferable, limited lifetime warranty. Proof of original purchase is required; other restrictions apply.
