AudioQuest "48" HDMI cables can transmit up to 8K/10K Ultra-HD video signals. The 48 Gbps bandwidth is made possible by 4 balanced audio/video pairs, each capable of transmitting 12 Gbps. 8K/10K

AudioQuest 48Gbps HDMI cables have the bandwidth required for video with resolutions up to 10K and resolutions/refresh rates up to 8K/60 and 4K/120. All AudioQuest HDMI cables are fully backward compatible with existing 4K displays.

10% Silver-Plated Copper Conductors (HDMI)

Thicker layers of silver plating are applied to AudioQuest's Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors in AudioQuest HDMI cables to improve noise dissipation. Placing the superior metal on the outside of the conductors delivers the greatest improvement in overall performance and is an extraordinarily cost-effective way to maximize the quality of a digital cable. Vodka 48 uses 10% Silver-Plated copper for its conductors.

Level 3 Noise Dissipation: Carbon + Metal + Direction

Traditional "100% shielding" is not enough to protect against the increasingly common negative effects of Wi-Fi, GSM, Bluetooth, and satellite radiation. In AudioQuest HDMI cables, all 19 conductors are directionally controlled to minimize RF noise that harms performance by "directing" or diverting it away from the most vulnerable circuits. Level 3 Noise Dissipation adds a layer of highly absorbent carbon between the layers of metal that wrap the 4 FRL + eARC pairs to further improve noise dissipation. Additional noise dissipation techniques (Level 4 and higher) are applied if the budget allows to further reduce noise.

eARC: 10% Silver + Level 3 Noise Dissipation

Because sound matters, the eARC conductors in AudioQuest's latest HDMI cables receive the same love, dedication, and noise dissipation with the same superior, signal-direction-controlled metals as the main AV data pairs. HDMI's Audio Return Channel (ARC) sends audio from a TV to a soundbar or AV receiver for more simplicity and flexibility in setting up the system. Previous hardware ARC capabilities could only play compressed 5.1-channel surround sound. HDMI 2.1 hardware supports Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which dramatically increases bandwidth to pass through uncompressed and lossless high-resolution multichannel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X.
