RF/ND-Tech (patented radio frequency dissipation of ground noise) minimizes circuit misbehavior by canceling induced RF noise.
AC grounding wires can provide protection against electrical short circuits, but they also act as antennas. Therefore, they are susceptible to induced radio frequency (RF) noise. This RF noise bypasses the power supplies of components and is usually directly coupled to the most sensitive audio/video circuits of a system. AudioQuest's patented RF/ND-Tech significantly reduces this distortion, resulting in unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest possible bandwidth (range) of radio frequencies. Our unique circuit topology utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array, combined with patented dielectric materials that provide additional differential linear filtering.
Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors.
The amazingly smooth and pure Perfect-Surface processed conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries and surface discontinuities that occur in any metal conductor.
ZERO-Tech (no defined characteristic impedance).
While many AC power cables have low DC resistance to meet the demand for high current, the characteristic impedance of a cable is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress audio-induced transients, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero (no) characteristic impedance to deliver uncompressed transients on demand.
Semi-solid concentric conductors.
In our semi-solid concentric conductor topology, strands are tightly packed and never change position within the bundle, significantly reducing strand interaction distortion.
Silver-plated drain wires.
Direction-controlled silver-plated shielding conductors efficiently drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third "earth" pin. The net result is powerful, dynamic, and immersive.
Direction-controlled conductors.
A fundamental aspect of AudioQuest's versatile Noise-Dissipation technology, Direction-Controlled Conductors ensure that induced noise is properly drained and dissipated.
