MASSIVE PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER + conductors (PSC+)
Perfect-Surface Copper+ has an amazingly smooth and pure surface. Patented metal processing technologies protect the surface of the conductor at every stage of the production process, from drawing to production. When copper with high purity and minimal oxides is kept as soft, pure, and smooth as possible, you get a fantastic PSC+ conductor with low distortion. The result is a sound quality that is even more focused and simply less obstructive. For over 30 years, AudioQuest has been a pioneer in the use of superior metals, but even we were surprised by this enormous leap in performance made possible by Perfect-Surface technology. PSC+ clearly outperforms previously available copper metals, regardless of price. Conductors are solid. Electrical and magnetic interaction between the wires in a conventional cable is the main source of distortion, often resulting in a somewhat frayed and harsh sound. Solid conductors are essential for the very clean sound of.
POLYETHYLENE AIR-TUBE INSULATION
Every solid adjacent to a conductor is in fact part of an imperfect circuit. Cable insulation and printed circuit board materials absorb energy (loss). Some of this energy is stored and released as distortion. Husky uses Air-Tube insulation for all conductors, because air absorbs virtually no energy and Polyethylene has little loss and also has a favorable distortion profile. PE Air-Tube insulation causes much less out-of-focus effects than other materials.
DIELECTRIC BIAS SYSTEM WITH RADIOFREQUENCY TRAP
All insulation between two or more conductors is also a dielectric whose properties affect the integrity of the signal. When the dielectric has no bias, dielectric involvement (absorption and non-linear release of energy) causes different amounts of time delay (phase shift) for different frequencies and energy levels, which is a serious problem for very time-sensitive audio with multiple octaves. The inclusion of an RF Trap (developed for AudioQuest's Niagara series power products) ensures that radio frequency noise is not induced in the signal conductors of the DBS field elements. TRIPLE-BALANCED GEOMETRY
Our triple-balanced geometry uses a separate ground conductor, so the cable's shielding is never used as an inferior conductor. Whether the cable is equipped with RCA or XLR connectors, the three conductors of the cable ensure that the positive and negative signals have equally superior, low-distortion conducting paths.
CARBON-BASED 6-LAYER NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)
Shielding of the shielding, reduces pollution of the ground potential by RFI.
