Description

More from this brand

RF/ND-Tech (patented radio frequency dissipation of ground noise) minimizes circuit misbehavior by canceling induced RF noise.

US Patent #8,988,168. AC grounding wires can provide protection against electrical short circuits, but they also act as antennas. Therefore, they are susceptible to induced radio frequency (RF) noise. This RF noise bypasses the power supplies of components and is usually directly coupled to the most sensitive audio/video circuits of a system. AudioQuest's patented RF/ND-Tech significantly reduces this distortion, resulting in unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest possible bandwidth (range) of radio frequencies. Our unique circuit topology utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array, combined with patented dielectric materials that provide additional differential linear filtering.

Highly pure, true-concentric PSC+ and LGC conductors.

With only Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) on the outside, the conductors of Monsoon are essentially all PSC+, even though the conductor core is Long-Grain Copper (LGC). Both the superior metal and conductor geometry significantly reduce ear-fatiguing Transient Intermodulation (TIM) distortion.

Uncompressed transmission of high current.

While many AC power cables have low DC resistance to meet the demand for high current, the characteristic impedance of a cable is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that narrow or compress audio-induced transients, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and ZERO (no) characteristic impedance to deliver uncompressed high-current transients on demand.
