Some headphones are so good that there are actually no words for them. The Final D8000 is one of those headphones. Final has reinvented planar technology and applied it to the D8000. Thanks to their Air Film Damping System (AFDS), the D8000 has an incredibly open, deep, and especially defined bass reproduction, combined with extreme refinement in the treble.

Air Film Damping SystemPlanar magnetic drivers are very transparent and neutral in the mid and high range, but often fall short in the low range. Dynamic drivers are often better at reproducing low tones but do not achieve the transparency and airiness of a planar driver when it comes to mid and high range reproduction. Final claims to have combined the advantages of both techniques in the so-called Air Film Damping System. It works as follows: the magnets of the driver are cut out in a circle and lined with ultra-thin perforated metal. This creates an air layer that slows down the diaphragm and prevents contact with the magnet.

This creates an air cushion, which acts as a natural brake for excessive deflection.

What's in the box?

In addition to the D8000 itself, two cables are included, a 1.5 meter cable with a 3.5mm jack and a 3 meter cable with a 6.3mm jack. As a cherry on top, a matching headphone stand is also included!
