Kendo is a modern form of martial art; translated from Japanese, it means "way of the sword." However, at Linn, it has unique meanings. Our sword is forged from boron, with a super-fine diamond tip. Our armor is nickel-plated and made of 7075-grade aluminum. Kendo is the enthusiastic student of its master, Ekstatik; it shares the same values and adopts many of its characteristics.

The Linn Kendo is the result of the efforts of Linn engineers to utilize the elements of Ekstatik that work so well. Linn has applied their proven development methodology to produce an affordable, high-quality cartridge that retains the same core design principles and acoustic properties.

Kendo has a rigid, nickel-plated aluminum body of 7075-grade. This specific aluminum grade matches that of the Linn Arko tonearm, for which Kendo is designed as the perfect partner. This ensures excellent material synergy throughout the tonearm system and effectively eliminates unwanted resonances from the delicate generator, along the arm, and through the subchassis.
