The Linn Krystal cartridge benefits from the same design principles inherent in our premium moving coil cartridge, the Kandid, allowing it to accurately track the small modulations of a record groove.

With a similar approach to minimizing mass as we have done with the Kandid, Krystal has a 'nude' design. The result is a reduction in the inertia of the cartridge, allowing Krystal to quickly respond to the topography of a vinyl record. It uses the three-point mounting system for a solid connection to the tonearm head, while the aluminum chassis provides a lightweight, rigid, and stable platform for the generator. Even the adhesive used on Krystal is carefully selected to make the most rigid connection possible and avoid any damping effects.

The Linn Krystal cartridge sits in the middle of our cartridge range, below the Kendo. With its highly musical presentation and improved agility, it offers noticeable sonic improvements over Adikt or Koil, and represents the next step in the journey of the Sondek LP12 owner towards perfection in vinyl playback.
