Introduction to Explorer series

The Explorer series is Siltech's entry-level audiophile range of cables. The Explorer series includes unbalanced and balanced interconnects, speaker cables, and digital interconnects, including USB or FireWire connections.

Designed to provide a taste of what is possible with Siltech's high-end products, but without the cost, the knowledge gained during almost four decades of research and development has been incorporated into this accessible range of high-quality cables.

Materials and technology used

The core is formed by Siltech's custom-made 6N monocrystalline copper conductor. This is an ultra-pure conductor for signal transmission with extremely low loss. This is supported by innovative dielectric materials with double-layer Kapton-Teflon insulation to protect against mechanical, radio frequency, and electromagnetic interference. The excellent construction quality means that an Explorer cable is built to last.

Although Siltech is world-famous for its advanced silver conductors, our Explorer range with copper core is an excellent and more affordable alternative.

Explorer 180l speaker cable SSP006 & SB006 connections

The Siltech Explorer 180l SSP006 speaker cable is Siltech's monocrystalline copper cable with high-quality SSP006 & SB006 connections. This can be supplied with a choice of Spade or Bananas on the amplifier side and likewise on the speaker side. Both are gold-plated.
