Supra MD06 EU/SP SPC Power Strip
The Supra MD06-EU/SP SPC is a shielded power strip made of cast aluminum. The silver-plated internal wiring and black finish are the best extension of Supra's LoRad SPC power cables. The power strip is fully shielded from electric field radiation by the aluminum chassis. The conductive chassis conducts interference to the ground. For the most functional operation, connection to a grounded outlet with a grounded power cord is recommended. For a usable degree of shielding and immunity, it is strongly recommended to use the power strip in combination with Supra LoRad shielded SPC power cables.
Supra NIF filter.
The MD06-EU/SP SPC is equipped with NIF (Non-Intrusive Filtering), a mild transient filter that does not affect the transient properties of the equipment. NIF was developed by Ben Duncan Research in England.
The MD06-EU/SP SPC is equipped with Supra's 3-way surge protection that protects against all three possible ways of overvoltage: live to ground, neutral to ground, and live to neutral. Many other surge protectors are only live to neutral and do not protect against field surges caused by nearby lightning, for example. Lightning is always referred to the ground. For correct and safe triple surge protection, the power strip must be connected to a grounded outlet.
About Supra:
Supra Cable comes from Jenving Technology in Sweden. Jenving Technology is one of the pioneers in cable technology and was one of the first manufacturers in the world to introduce a specially developed 2.5mm2 speaker cable in 1976. The market quickly agreed; a good speaker cable does make a difference.
However, much has changed since the founding. Jenving Technology now works closely with leading Swedish universities to continuously improve quality. Despite all the knowledge and expertise, Jenving Technology still adheres to the same successful vision as in 1976: "when you make something and dare to ask for money for it, make sure it's worth it." This is considered very normal in Sweden and at Supra Cables they call it very down-to-earth 'no-nonsense'.
